What happens when Dave and I actually get time alone and go out for a drink without kids? Plans – that’s what happens. Snap, we have talked about it forever and can’t take it anymore, decisions.
For those of you that have come into the house in the last year you will recall that we do not have trim around our closet and living area. Before putting new trim on we had to make a decision about the tile on the floor. We finally decided and are putting a delicious travertine down. Now this is where the drinks come into play. After a glass of wine the statement is made “While we are at it why not replace the floor in the girls bathroom?” and so we decided to replace the linoleum in the girls upstairs bathroom with tile. This led to replacing the vanity. Which led to getting a plumber in to make a few “why did they build the house like that” adjustments. But it is all good. The tile is down and grouted today. Now I eagerly await delivery of a new vanity and the replacement of the toilet.
So if you are following me that is floor in the foyer, and tile and vanity etc. in the girls bathroom but there was one more “While we are at it statement” after we came home from drinks and were continuing to sip at home 😉 This statement was “while we are at it why not close up the extra set of french doors to our den from the foyer that drives us crazy with furniture placement and really adds nothing to the room ……. and then I can wire up the new in wall speakers I will have to purchase ” ( says Dave – the last part quietly under his breath so that I really don’t hear it but would hold up in a court of law. 😉
So I am in chaos but loving it and can’t wait to see the end result. 🙂 I took a few snaps to show you.
