I truly am not sure where time has flown by and must apologize for the length of time between my last post and this one. My intentions were the best – honestly! I took thousands of photographs this summer and can't wait to unveil them over the next month. (well not all of them).
My summer I am sure was just like yours, busy, busy busy. We spent a week at a cottage resort with Dave's Family. We have been doing this for 3 summers and it is quickly becoming tradition. The kids love playing with their cousins. The adults pretend that it doesn't hurt when you fall water skiing and usually drink a lot of wine. I managed to give myself whiplash and torn shoulder tendons while tubing at the cottage which is my excuse for not updating my blog for weeks. I have been limiting certain movements to try and help the healing process. I could have asked Dave to update it for me except Dave spent two weeks in India then returned home with a wicked virus that locked him in quarantine for another 2 weeks.
Starting to get the picture of my summer. 😉
I had 2 kids at home, not enrolled in daycamps because I had foolishly counted on the sun shining for at least 10 days out of 55 days of summer vacation, wrecked shoulder, MIA or sick hubby, then wham back to school hits. Feel like I have been in a Tornado and need to shake my head to get the spinning to stop.
anyways….
I am so excited about some upcoming things I have planned. :)
Details will be unveiled over the next few weeks but I can give you a few hints.
I am launching a line of greeting/notecards featuring my photographs.
I have an incredibly cool Holiday promotion coming together that will include an antique cutter (horse-drawn sleigh).
And many more great things still to come so please stay posted.
Now onto a few favourite photos from the summer.
Back to School
Yes, Caitlyn started SK this year. Up at 3am so excited to see her friends. Here she is with the remnants of Chocolate Chip Pancakes on her lips. Yes I did get her lips wiped before she boarded the bus.
Erin – chatting with friends at the busstop. Growing up WAY too fast for my liking.
Can you guess that Pink is a favourite colour. Erin and Caitlyn are joined by Sarah – fellow Pinkadiva!
A last minute hug to daddy before the bus. Yes Dave is over the virus – although you wouldn't know it by the stroke-like look to his eyes. You can tell where my kids get their blue eyes from.
Boarding the bus with a "Bye Mom". (sob, sniff, sniff)
One of many from the summer – I love this photo and have it made into a gallery wrap hanging on my wall.
