Dave has been away on a business trip for the last week which always slows down my blogging a bit. Before he left we went on a family outing to the Crawford Lake Conservation Area near Guelph. It is a beautiful area and great for those early spring hikes when things could still be mucky. Crawford Lake itself is a really cool geologic feature because it is a "meromitic lake" for all you geography heads out there. It brought back exam questions from my university days. I won't get into it now but take my word for it – very neat! (Crawford Lake)
We had so much fun – I love those easy family outings where you pack a picnic lunch and just enjoy one another. It was a wonderful mother's day but not on mother's day day. :)
Yes, they are as high up as it looks.
Dandelions make beautiful bouquets and Caitlyn spent all morning carefully selecting which ones to pick. Unfortunately they only last a few hours before they wilt and I have to explain to a heartbroken little girl why they died. 🙁
