A couple of weekends ago we packed up the car and headed to NOTL for the weekend. Yes, I know, not much of a sacrifice at all. 🙂 But this weekend was special we were celebrating Lorraine's (my mother-in-law) 65th birthday. It is fun to get together with the whole family. Dave's sister – Johanna and her husband Gerry live in Ottawa with their 3 kids so get togethers are infrequent but fun. All of the grandkids are at that great age – old enough to be well out of diapers and can be left unattended for a period of time but not yet in the melancholy teenage years. Fun Times. The older kids seem to disappear completely but I nabbed the two youngest (Caitlyn and Drew) playing around in the backyard with Lorraine's straw hats.
