My life is harried. I am not one of those people that gently, serenely float through life. Nope, definitely not me. I get flustered easily and frequently have to remind myself to take deep cleansing breaths. Even so I am slowly coming to terms with the fact that I will never be able to achieve all of the things that I would like to in 1 day or 1 week, maybe I could if I had a month – a well organized month where no one was sick and Dave only had one business trip.
Anyways – this has been a week of injuries and mechanical repairs (from two separate instances). My car which I adore and owes me not one penny decided to make up for the 5 years of good luck with a very bad week. I definitely shouldn't complain but it is tough to not leave the garage feeling ripped off slightly. 🙁 And then there was Caitlyn. My daredevil little redhead came home from school on Thursday with nasty 2nd degree burns on her left cheek. (yep – her bum). She burned it on a hot metal slide – Yikes. So I have had 5 days of ice packs, soothing baths, " it hurts to sit down – mommy" and a streaker running through the house (letting the air get at injury). This set me back in everything else I needed to do.
And so comes today. Life is settling back to normal and I found myself having an extra cup of coffee or two. The result was a super caffeinated inspiration to photograph rubber duckies.
Arent' they cute. 😉
