We finally had a gorgeous weekend and I was lucky enough to be taking pictures during most of it. Dave is on a trip to China so I am on full-time parent duty or as we refer to it in our household it is "Girl Power" time. "Girl Power" moves furniture, paints walls, repairs toilets and the list goes on. We love Girl Power although we do miss Dave when he is away.
Sunday afternoon I grabbed the girls and Sarah our neighbour and we went to the Downey's Pumpkinfest. Soon discovered that it was so crazy busy that One mom infused with Girl Power was not enough to combat the forces of hundred's of people fighting it out for pumpkins. We quickly grabbed the nearest pumpkins and escaped. We then went on an adventure at the Caledon Badlands. This is a favourite place of mine. As a child my parent's brought us here for hiking and we played baseball at the old brickyards. It's great that I can show this way cool geographic feature to the kids. The girls loved it. They came home exhausted and filthy – a sure sign of a good time.
At the entrance – at this point I am still planning on hayrides, corn mazes and making the best of a Sunday afternoon.
We have claimed our pumpkins and are getting out of pumpkinfest.
Erin and Caitlyn are in the bottom left of the photo – Lots of Fun. Erin would give Caitlyn a boost up the areas that were too steep to climb.
