All of my senses are telling me that spring is coming. Yes the weather forecasters are saying potentially 10 cm of snow tomorrow but that is ok – one last chance for skiing this year. That forecast does not defeat the fact that the sun is greeting me when I wake up in the morning bright and strong, I can hear the snow melting in gentle drip, drip, drips and enjoy my morning coffee(s) to birds and squirrels battling it out at my birdfeeder. Spring is coming. One of the sure signs of spring is that I made a trip to Winners and came away with a LOVELY new purse! 😉
It has been a fabulously busy couple of weeks I met with several brides and am filling up on my wedding bookings (yahoo!), booking spring, summer and fall family sessions (You guys are so amazing spring is almost fully booked!), and coming up with some great new surprises for everyone out there in Reflections by Patty land.
Today I felt an overwhelming urge to bring some spring inside. I always try to have fresh flower (s) somewhere in the house. Even in the middle of winter they have this amazing ability to bring a smile to my face.
I am not sure what it is about Gerbera Daisies – but I love them. With elegant and graceful lines they seem to have faces that smile up at the sun.
Spring would not be complete without tulips.
Tulips on my entrance table. Note that the trim is still missing. 😉
And a shamrock in a place of honour beside the fiddle. We are getting close to a Glassford Favourite Holiday around here – St. Patrick’s Day!
I can’t wait!!
