Today is the day that I hoped for and dreaded all summer long. I love being with my kids and summer is our absolute favourite but it was time. Time for a return to routines for the girls and for me. There is only so much multi-tasking a busy home officed mom can manage without going slightly over the edge. 😉
Erin is heading into to Grade 8 a couple of inches taller and ready to embrace all of the fabulous things Grade 8 brings. Caitlyn is off to Grade 4 looking forward to math, her friends and checking out the new playgrounds and about 3/4 ” taller herself. 😉
It is the start of a new school year, new experiences, new trials and tribulations, new lessons, and new growth. I waved them off with a reassuring smile and the silent hope that all will go smoothly, that this year’s life lessons will not be too traumatic and they will come home with smiles on their faces.
The girls ready to go …… and one with the dog because that just seems to be how it is. 😉
A phone call with her BFF last night fixed all of Caitlyn’s 1st day of school jitters and she is ready to go.
Ahhh the look, I see it so often through the lens these days, the “not another photo” look. 😉
Last 1st day of school at Public School. Erin gets to sit at the back of the bus, sit on the benches at assembly instead of the floor and all of the other cool things that come with being in grade 8.
