Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
(Robert Frost – Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening)
My session on Saturday was amazing. Alex and I arrived early and walked the path as the snow fell. It triggered a memory from my elementary school days of Robert Frost’s poem. He must have experienced a perfect day just like Saturday. The snow falling gently and so peaceful that I swear you could hear the softness of the snowflakes landing in the snow. Extraordinary and I cannot tell you how glad I was. This amazing family had been rescheduled 3 times. I know we have had a “light” winter. But we have had storms and every single one of them landed on the day that I had this family scheduled. How amazing that we lucked out with the Best Day ever for Winter Family photos!! 🙂
Winter Family Portraits are special and are my favourite. I love the texture, colour and can rarely resist throwing a snowball or two 😉 (yes that goes back to having two brothers to toboggan off the roof of the pig barn with – I DO INDEED know how to embrace winter 🙂
Anyways – back to this beautiful family. They so obviously enjoy one another’s company it was wonderful be around that love. I loved watching the Grandpa’s laugh with one another. It really was a good time for me – and from the photos I think it was for them as well.
Here is just a small sample Carolyn, hope you love them. I will have your gallery ready in a couple of days. 🙂
