Winter has finally arrived this week. Not that postcard perfect, " aww this is so nice winter" that we have been having, the real winter that we are supposed to get. You know the winter that has days with a windchill that slices right to the bone, blowing snow and white knuckle driving days. That arrived. Of course, it arrives just as Dave departs for Brazil, but isn't that always the way. 🙂
True Canadian that I am I don't let a little weather stand in my way and my days are full of work, and toing and froing between activities, school and playdates. Keep me in your thoughts this weekend I have not one but two sleepovers as well as playdates. Wish they were for me but unfortunately not – Caitlyn is off to one and Erin is hosting one. And we all know that the child that you drop off at a sleepover is not the child that returns from one.
Anyways….I chose this blustery day to go with Erin's class to the Fergus Curling Club. This is the oldest curling club in Ontario – how cool is that? Erin loves it and actually seems to have a knack for it. Do you think it is because the curling position is low to the ground? Gravity often seems to be her enemy – those long legs of hers often have a different idea of where to go. 😉 Erin has big plans for family curling outings and joining a curling team. I will be supportive but I really wish that one of my kids activities could take place in a warm location. (Caitlyn's gymnastics and swimming does not count because the walk to and from the Alder Arena counteracts any warmness that might have been achieved inside the building!)
The milk bag over the shoe completes the ensemble.
